Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
ViewYourTeam (“the site”) is a Counter-Strike 2 esports tracker. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site and how that data is handled.
Browsing without an account
You can use almost all of the site — teams, rankings, matches, news, and per-team calendar feeds — without creating an account. In that case no personal information such as your name or email address is collected.
Like all websites, our hosting infrastructure receives standard server log data when you make a request. This includes your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. These logs are used solely for debugging and security and are not shared with third parties.
Accounts
If you sign in with Google to use the personalised calendar, we receive and store your name, email address, profile picture URL, and your Google account identifier. We use this data only to operate your account; we do not send marketing email and we do not share this data with third parties. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
With an account we additionally store the teams you choose to follow and a random calendar-feed token. Your personalised feed URL contains that token; anyone with the URL can see which teams you follow and their match schedule, and you can invalidate it at any time from your account page.
You can delete your account and all associated data yourself at any time from your account page, which also offers a download of all data we store about you (data portability). Deletion cancels any active subscription. You can also request deletion via the contact page.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your payment details (card number, billing address) are entered on and processed by Stripe directly — we never see or store them. We store only your subscription status, a Stripe customer reference, and the subscription period needed to provide the service. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for how Stripe handles your data.
Cookies and local storage
If you sign in, the site sets strictly necessary session cookies to keep you signed in. These are essential cookies used solely for authentication — they do not track you and are not used for advertising, so no cookie consent banner is required for them.
The site stores your theme preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.
No advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts are loaded on any page of this site.
Third-party services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare may process your IP address as part of its standard DDoS protection and CDN services. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
Sign-in is provided by Google. When you use it, Google processes data according to Google's Privacy Policy.
If you subscribe to a calendar feed, your calendar provider (e.g. Google Calendar, Apple Calendar) periodically fetches the feed URL from our servers; this request is covered by that provider's privacy policy.
External links
The site links to external sources such as Liquipedia, team social media pages, and tournament organisers. This policy does not apply to those external sites.
Children's privacy
The site is a publicly available information resource and does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Accounts and paid subscriptions are intended for users who are old enough to consent to data processing in their country (16 in Germany).
Data retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you request deletion, your account, followed teams, feed tokens, and session data are removed. Records of past payments may be retained where required by German commercial and tax law (typically up to 10 years); these are held by Stripe and in our subscription records.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold about you:
- Right of access - you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to erasure - you can request that we delete any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification - you can request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Right to data portability - you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object - you can object to the processing of your data.
- Right to lodge a complaint - you have the right to complain to your national data protection supervisory authority. In Germany this is the relevant Landesbeauftragter für Datenschutz.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
